Oracy explained
Oracy is the ability to articulate ideas, develop understanding and engage with others through spoken language. In school, oracy is a vital tool for learning; by teaching students to become more effective speakers and listeners we empower them to better understand themselves, each other and the world around them. We follow the Voice 21 framework which explains that there are four key strands that enable successful discussion.

We have the following sentence stems on display in each of our classrooms. They support us in developing our discussion skills and provide us with scaffolds to use within the classroom!
